Paint Party!

Hi! Welcome to my stop on Carrie's Paint Party!

I absolutely love Carrie's Collage collection but I think Paint may top it!
Especially the paint swatch print. I have so many ideas and plans for it.

I posted a little about what I was working on a few weeks ago and am happy to be able to share the whole thing now!

My part of the lookbook was to create a mini art quilt/prayer flag and I immediately thought of houses. Partly because I have been on a patchwork house kick and the other part because of the adorable bookmark she sent. I think I am going to recreate that bookmark in fabric and hang it on my wall. Love it!

The house was fun to sew but took up too much of my time since I didn't use a pattern. That left me with basically half of a day to do the rest!

I did manage to complete it and get it out in time. Of course now that it's gone there is a million other things I wish I would have done around the house instead.

As a bonus because I wasn't ready to put the Paint fabric away I created a little quilted bag.

I used the quilt as you go method and love how it came out.

Really this is a perfect collection for a variety of projects. I've seen so many different ideas made with Paint and love them all. From quilts to pencil holders.

Check out the Paint LOOKBOOK and make sure and visit the other party stops to win a Paint charm pack! :)

30's Playtime

I am so excited for these prints!
As soon as they arrived last night I immediately busted into it and started sewing.

I made some half square triangles with the intent on creating a potholder

However, once I started sewing them I really felt like it needed to be a quilt.
It will take me forever to make a throw sized quilt out of these tiny blocks though. The HST are about 1.5 inches. I don't know what to do?
I really feel it would be a waste as a potholder now, especially since I am never in the kitchen.
Do you ever have projects that start as one thing only to go in a completely different direction after you start?

Globetrotting BOM - San Juan April

I have finally jumped into the Globetrotting Mystery BOM!

I decided to start on the April block, San Juan since that is what everyone else is working on and then do the previous blocks later.

Isn't that little cup & saucer print so cute? I had to use it as the focal point (I purchased it from here if anyone else is interested in it).

As much as I loved making this block and the block in general I messed up on one of the blue squares. Either I cut the square too small or sewed it wrong because it doesn't quite match up.

I'm hoping once I get the rest of the blocks done and the quilt put together I won't notice it anymore. Sure I could rip it apart and fix it but I have too many other projects to do. :)

Yes, I am still in love with Road 15 and will use it in as many projects as I can.
